Things have been busy over the past few months, and i am delighted to announce that I am now represented by Philip Spitzer, of the Philip G. Spitzer Literary Agency. Philip and I will be working together to sell my first novel, A Thief in the Night, currently on submission.

In addition, keep an eye out over the next few months; pieces of mine have been selected for publication in the December/January issues of the following journals and magazines: Gigantic Sequins, Literary Traveler, the Eunoia Review.

Interview on Unanchor Travel

You can now find my Itinerary Writer Spotlight here.

An excerpt:

5. What made you fall in love with Tbilisi?

There’s a beautiful sadness about the city’s faded grandeur – around every corner there’s a strange and startling statue of an angel, a balcony in the shape of a mermaid, an entry hall with frescoes of cherubs, stone griffins – it’s like living in a boundary world between reality and myth. It’s easily as beautiful as Paris or Budapest, but its relative dearth of tourists gives visitors the option to discover the city for themselves, rather than relying upon preconceived guidebook notions of what Tbilisi should be like.

Enjoyed ringing up Rod McLaughlin from the Azumano Travel Show on Portland's KPAM radio for an interview about my latest articles for the Huffington Post on Tbilisi and Batumi, part of a series of interviews I'll be doing for KPAM Portland on travel in Georgia.

For you early birds out there, the show airs this Saturday Sept 1 6:00 am Pacific Time (that's 9:00 am EST) on Portland's AM860 (or live here), with a repeat on Sunday Sept 2 at 11:00 am Pacific/2:00 pm ET. Will do my best to upload the audio to this site.
